Pace Band Builder
Build a printable race pace band: every split for your goal time over 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon or any custom distance, with an optional negative split.
Start this much slower than average and finish the same amount faster. 1–2% is the classic well-executed race.
How this is worked out
Splits are generated as a linear pace ramp rather than two flat halves. Pace starts at (1 + split) of your average and finishes at (1 − split), changing evenly in between. Because a linear ramp integrates back to the average, the band always adds up to your goal time exactly — including on distances like the half marathon that don’t divide into whole kilometres.
A partial final kilometre or mile is shown at its true fractional distance, so the elapsed column is the real finish time and not a rounded one.
