Last updated: May 2026
Get Up Get Out Get Fit (the “Site”) is a free and supporter-funded fitness blog operated from the United Kingdom. The Site publishes general information about training, exercise, nutrition and outdoor activity. Please read this disclaimer carefully before using anything you find here.
1. Not medical advice
Nothing on this Site is medical, healthcare or professional advice. The author is not a doctor, physiotherapist, dietitian or qualified healthcare professional. The training plans, articles, calculators, videos and other content (the “Content”) are provided for general information and entertainment only.
Always consult a suitably qualified medical professional before starting, changing or stopping any exercise programme, diet, or training plan — particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, over 35 and previously inactive, recovering from illness, surgery or injury, or if you have, or believe you may have, any medical condition (including but not limited to heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, joint or musculoskeletal problems, or any condition that affects your ability to exercise safely).
If you experience pain, dizziness, faintness, chest pain, breathing difficulty, or any other unusual symptom while following anything on this Site, stop immediately and seek medical attention. In an emergency in the UK, call 999.
2. Use at your own risk
Exercise, training, racing and outdoor activity (including but not limited to running, cycling, swimming, hiking, triathlon, strength training, yoga, mobility work and high-intensity interval training) carry an inherent risk of injury, illness, property damage, and in rare cases death. By using the Content you acknowledge those risks and agree that:
- You are voluntarily participating in any activity you choose to undertake based on the Content.
- You are solely responsible for assessing whether any plan, workout, route, technique, equipment recommendation, gear choice or other suggestion is suitable for you, your level of fitness, your environment and your circumstances.
- You are responsible for performing any activity safely, with appropriate warm-up and cool-down, with appropriate equipment, in appropriate conditions, and within your capability.
- You will follow the Highway Code and any other applicable laws or regulations when training in public places.
3. No warranty — information may be wrong or out of date
The Content is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant or represent that the Content is accurate, complete, current, fit for any particular purpose, free from errors, or appropriate for your individual circumstances.
Training science evolves. Pages may be updated, replaced or removed without notice. You should not rely on the Content as the sole basis for any decision affecting your health, training or finances.
4. Third-party links and services
Where the Content links to third-party websites, products, services or videos, we do not endorse them and have no control over their content, accuracy, availability, terms or privacy practices. Use of any third-party site or service is at your own risk and subject to that third party’s terms.
5. Supporter unlocks and Stripe payments
Some Content is available only to supporters who pay through our Stripe checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited and are subject to Stripe’s terms. Recurring subscriptions may be cancelled at any time from the receipt email Stripe sends; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and prevents future charges.
Where you pay for digital content (an access code that unlocks guides), you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. By starting to download, stream or otherwise use the unlocked Content within that 14-day period you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once supply has begun. This does not affect any other rights you have at law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Get Up Get Out Get Fit, its owner, operators, contributors and affiliates accept no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your access to, reliance on, or use of the Site or the Content, including (without limitation) any injury, illness, loss of income, loss of data, loss of opportunity or any other loss, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Content is owned by, or licensed to, the operator of the Site and is protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual-property laws. You may read, print and store the Content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, scrape, train AI models on, or commercially exploit the Content without our prior written consent.
8. Changes to this disclaimer
